Terrible, stressful experience with a disgusting room.

Literally everything about it was terrible.

I showed up to this property and they could not find my booking that I had made the night before, but said they had a room that I could stay in. I asked if the room had air conditioning, and the woman said no. I told her that my booking was for a room with air conditioning and she simply said "that's not my fault". After going in the room with a fan I sat on the bed and it was hard as a rock. I ended up having to book another room at a different property. If you are thinking of staying here because of the price, please don't. It was literally the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.

Budget stay in the walled city

The location was very attractive, and had good access to the wall’s exit as we frequented Gethsemani during our stay. The staff was helpful and there was a good agency on the ground floor for tour assistance. It’s also one of the cheapest options inside the old city.

If you’re particular about bathroom cleanliness and privacy, do not book this place. There was one shower and toilet shared by the entire floor. And if you’re tall enough, the people in the property across can very well see you while you shower.

Great location for a great price.

Great location for a great price. The staff are friendly and helpful – I left my raincoat there and my brother was able to pick it up for me a few days later – although I left a shirt too which he wasn't able to get. It definitely isn't luxury, but if you don't mind that, you cannot beat the price and location.

It is good location and cheap hostel . wifi is ok . but hostel looks very old. Toilet is bad.

The hostel have very good location in centro historico. It is in middle of old town. Boca granfe - main beach is little far. Hostel is cheaper than other hostel around but also looks this way :) There is balcony what is very good if you want relax but everything is very old - tv , bed, toilet is very basic and just one for many rooms and little far , so sometimes you have to wait long time :) It is just place to use this hostel for sleep and go outside , because it is not place for relax as everything inside is very old :) Je to v oistorickom centre ,takze odporucam aj cena je dobra ale hostel vyzera biedne aj vybavenie aj toalety ,cize necakajte ziadne prekvapenie :) wifi is ok.

You do not have your own key fro main gate and in night you have to wake up lady and wait for key.The rooms looks very old - bed, table , tv - more than 25 years old :) Toilet is just one for many rooms so you have to wait long time - not have light in toilet ,so you have to be in dark room without window. They should to do something with toilet ,because even if the hostel is cheap - the toillet must to work ! Je tam iba jedna toaleta na celej chodbe aj ta funguje biedne, ziadne svetlo , voda z rury. Nemaju ani zachodovu misu :) Clovek sa musi az zacas smiat :)

Centric and cheap, but that's all

Privileged location: centric and surrounded of services in the same street, like a supermarket, a restaurant downstairs with good lunch/dinner for 10k, a Juan Valdez coffee shop, a bakery, ATM, etc. Everything interesting in the Center is a few minutes away. Small kitchen available with cook, fridge and juice maker. Basic tools. Air con in dorm can be turned on all day. En suite bathroom in dorm. Nice balcony. Cheap price for Easter Week.

Staff is quite unfriendly and you will be lucky if they reply your greetings. Security system to enter at night consists in yelling in front of the inner door until a key is dropped tied to a rope so you can open the lock. Funny but poor. No common areas or lounge, uninviting to relax, read or do anything else than lying in bed. Hard to meet people besides in the dorm. Power plugs barely work in the whole house. Atmosphere of the house was more indicated for couples in private rooms than solo backpackers.

Don't stay there!!

Central location

One of the most disgusting hostels i've ever seen. Is very very dirty, seems no one cleans the bathrooms. Bathroom and toilet are located on the dorm and their door doesn't close. There is no security, everyone can enter, there are no lockers. Staff doesn't know anything, they were bot able to help me even with location od tourist information.

Very basic, but in the middle of Old Town

This is definitely not a place for people who are used to a bit more luxury, but we actually loved it. The room is a decent size, people are nice if you speak a bit Spanish (go visit the lady on the first floor with her parrot), the location is unbeatable and you have a nice balcony to people watch.

It's not super clean, the fan makes a hell of a lot of noise (but this drowns out the city sounds) and the bed was kind of saggy and worn. In my opinion all things you should be ok with considering the low price for this part of Cartagena.
